I love citrus oils! They are so bright, uplifting and refreshing and can help uplift your mood and re-energize you.

☀️ Since we’re getting into warmer, sunnier weather, the one thing to keep in mind with citrus oils is that they can lead to photosensitivity, which can cause your skin to sunburn more easily. See the full list below!

🍋 You can use citrus oils topically, but you should avoid sunlight for 12 hours after applying the oil directly to your skin. Other ways to use citrus oils in the sun would be to apply the citrus oil topically to a spot where the sun won’t hit (bottoms of your feet), inhale from the bottle or diffuse!

Another amazing option is Green Mandarin, it’s not photosensitive so it’s a great option for applying a citrus oil topically during the summer and sunny days and the added bonus is that it’s a very gentle oil, even for your babies!
