Let’s talk about the magic of adding essential oils to baking soda! Both are very effective cleaners and there are so many possibilities when you combine them. I usually do about 5 drops of essential oil to every 1 cup of baking soda.

Simple Cleaning Powder

• Combine baking soda and a citrus oil (Lemon or Wild Orange are my favorites)
• Sprinkle on hard surfaces, sinks, tub, shower, toilet, dampen with On Guard Cleaner All Purpose spray, white vinegar, or water and scrub clean
• My favorite sponges to clean with are melamine sponges. They are basically a Mr. Clean magic eraser without the Mr. Clean brand or added chemicals.

Mattress Powder

• Combine baking soda and Lavender or Eucalyptus for a mattress cleaning powder
• Sprinkle on your mattress and let sit for at least 15 minutes
• Vacuum clean

Carpet Deodorizer Refresh Powder

• Combine baking soda and your favorite smelling oils for a simple, toxin-free carpet powder that deodorizes and refreshes
• I like adding Citrus Bliss, Citrus Bloom, Adaptiv, Purify, or Grapefruit
• Sprinkle on your carpet, let sit for 5 – 15 minutes
• Vacuum clean
