To be completely honest, my heart sank when our flight took off and I saw “time to destination 4:33” on the screen. ⁣
⁣
Our original flight was canceled and we were rebooked on the new flight home with a 3 hour layover - that’s the part I was focused on, along with landing at 9pm (hopefully 😬) ⁣

This trip home had me thinking about my end of the year reflections, maybe you can relate:⁣

It often takes twice as long and usually twice as much effort to get to the same destination. ⁣
⁣
The journey is worth it and it’s something you typically wish you started sooner. ⁣

I’ve got an idea for a new tradition for you if you’re looking for one!⁣

👉🏻Get a Christmas book and on the inside cover, you’ll write out your favorite Christmas memories from that year. If your kids are old enough, have them write something too!⠀⁣

📚Add a new book to the collection each year, or write in the same book until there’s no more space and then get a new book.⠀⁣

Look back on your memories for years to come and read the Christmas books each holiday season! ⁣

My intent was homemade personal sourdough pizzas which didn’t work out, but thankfully my plan B & C worked for a pizza crusts! I’m sure it could’ve been better, but at least we had something come dinnertime 🙌🏻

💃🏼Hey PS - I usually tell you our Tuesday night live topic tonight, but I’m going to cancel this week. I have no voice and I’ve self-diagnosed myself with laryngitis 🥴 don’t worry, I’ll be sipping my On Guard apple cider and back in no time!

I helped tile the bathroom walls and Dax helped by sitting in my lap for part of it, that’s next level difficult 😂⁣

Also decided to try making a sourdough started, then the boys had snow much fun outside!
